Cup final fever has descended on the city ahead of the Dons’ crunch match with Celtic on Sunday.
Businesses across Aberdeen are getting behind their local team by creating special limited edition products and putting on football-themed window displays.
Haigs Food Hall, on Schoolhill, is joining in the action with a special burger for the occasion.
The Aberdeen Gold is a lean Aberdeen Angus steak burger with beer.
The beer has been specially selected for its Aberdeen connotations and comes from the Cairngorm Brewery.
The Dons-themed burger is available from today.
Owner Julie Haig said: “It’s good to create a hype and a buzz in the city. Everyone’s excited.
“A lot of our staff are big Dons fans.”
The family business is keen to lend its support to the city’s local football team.
Julie added: “Everyone is talking about it in our shop and there’s quite a lot of our customers who are going down. The beer is just so popular – it’ll add a little bit of flavour.”
Last time the Dons reached a cup final in 2014 the butcher created a special Sheep are on Fire Peri-Peri burger.
Julie predicted a 2-1 win for Aberdeen, with goals from James Maddison and Shay Logan, who she said is a regular in the shop.
Yesterday the Evening Express revealed Marischal College will be lit up red and white, Aberdeen’s colours, later this week as the city rallies around its team.
More than 22,000 Dons fans will travel down to Glasgow for the match on Sunday, which kicks off at 3pm.
The Evening Express is also getting behind the team by giving away thousands of clap banners with the paper this week.
