Shards of broken glass were left strewn across the pavement of an Aberdeen city centre street today after a bus crashed into a shelter.
Nobody was in the shelter, outside Annie Mo’s furniture shop on Union Street, when the bus hit it just after 4pm.
Police attended the scene along with Aberdeen City Council employees, who swept up the fragments and cleared away debris.
The scene had been made safe by 5pm.
A police spokesman said: “We received a call just after 4pm to a report of a bus which had struck a shelter on Union Street in Aberdeen.
“We attended the scene and assisted council workers who were dealing with the debris.”
