Boy, 11, taken to hospital after part of wall collapses at Aberdeen school

Police at St Joseph's RC School this morning.

An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after part of wall collapsed at an Aberdeen school this morning.

Police said the boy was injured in the playground of the school and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with non life-threatening injuries.

Ambulance, police and fire teams were called to St Joseph’s RC Primary School on Queen’s Road after the incident at around 9am.

The child’s family are aware and are with the child.

Officers will be liaising with Aberdeen City Council and the Health and Safety Executive regarding the incident.
