Boy, 16, charged after iPad and computers stolen from Aberdeen school

A teenage boy has been charged by police in connection with the theft of more than £1,000 of iPads and computers from an Aberdeen school.

Bramble Brae School in Northfield was targeted on January 3.

Police Scotland today said a 16-year-old had been charged with theft by housebreaking.

A spokeswoman said: “A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the male will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.”

Sergeant Craig Murray added: “I would like to thank the community for their assistance so far in response to our earlier appeals for information.

“I would continue to encourage anyone with information regarding the break-in or any stolen electronic devices taken from the school to come forward.

“Information can be passed to police using 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
