A boy has been taken to hospital following an incident at a North-east harbour.
Emergency services were called to Stonehaven Harbour shortly after 3pm today.
It is understood the boy fell between 10 and 15ft from a pier onto a hard surface.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 15.04 hours today to attend an incident at Old Pier in Stonehaven.
“We dispatched one ambulance which arrived on scene within five minutes.
“One male patient, aged 10, was taken to the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.”
He added the boy’s injuries were not through to be life-threatening.
The Coastguard said it had been called to assist the ambulance.
