An Aberdeen church held a special service to bless people’s pets.
Craigiebuckler Church hosted the annual ceremony yesterday for the 26th year.
The popular event saw people bring along their animals to be formally blessed.
The blessing service was carried out by Rev Kenneth Petrie, who went round each pet individually to bless them.
Cathy Niddrie, 77, took her grandson’s dog along to the service.
She said: “It was brilliant, it was very good. Our little rescue dog got blessed. We’re fair chuffed with it.”
She added: “They had a nice service. It was absolutely fantastic. The minister was very good, he went round every dog and blessed them.”
