Fire crews have been called tackle a blaze on board a fishing vessel.
Three fire appliances and a height vehicle were called to the fire on board the boat at Macduff Harbour shortly after 7.30am.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “The fire was located in the fish-carrying holding area.
“We used seven breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera.”
The blaze was brought back under control in just over an hour with the stop message coming back at 8.39am.
Police were also called to the incident after receiving reports that a box on board the vessel was on fire.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Nobody was on board.”
Aberdeen Coastguard were also called to the incident for “information gathering” purposes.
Crews remained on scene while the vessel was ventilated but left shortly before 10am.
