A group of bikers have taken part in a north-east wreath-laying ceremony as part of an effort to raise £60,000 for Poppyscotland.
The event took place at the Masonic Temple in Aberdeen and was held by the Grand Lodge of Scotland’s motorcycle riders’ association, The Widows Sons Scotland.
The group is taking on a tour of the 31 Scottish cenotaphs and memorials over eight weekends to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War in November this year.
Supporting the latest leg of the nationwide tour was the Provincial Grand Lodge of Aberdeen City.
Gordon Michie, head of fundraising at Poppyscotland, said: “The money raised by the Grand Lodge of Scotland and their motorcycle association, Widows Sons Scotland, will improve lives in the Armed Forces community.
“I’d like to thank them for their wonderful work. It is greatly appreciated.”
