Asda has issued a recall notice over concerns one of their products may contain undeclared gluten.
The supermarket chain is asking customers who purchased Dauphinoise Potatoes – and have an allergy or intolerance to gluten – to return the product.
There are concerns the pack may contain cauliflower cheese, which contains wheat (gluten).
According to a recall notice issued by Asda, “a supplier production error” caused some packs to have been “miss packed with cauliflower cheese”.
The affected product is the Asda Dauphinoise Potatoes, pack size 375g, with a best before date of March 28 2020.
Advice from the Food Standards Agency is, if you have an allergy or intolerance to gluten, “do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund”.
