One person taken to hospital after blaze at Aberdeen farm

Fire crews at the scene of the farm fire in Dyce.

One person has been taken to hospital following a blaze at a farm in Aberdeen.

Emergency services were called to the farm in Dyce shortly after 10.30am today.

The B997 is currently closed between Parkhill and Bridge of Don to allow firefighters to work safely at the scene.

The road will reopen as soon as possible and until such times people are advised to find an alternative route.

Around eight fire appliances are understood to be on the scene.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Operations Control mobilised a number of resources to the scene, where crews currently remain in attendance.

“One casualty was passed into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel and is being transported to hospital.

“Crews will remain at the scene until the area is made safe.”
