SKY divers, a helicopter, face painting and more than 1,000 members of the armed forces will descend on Aberdeen this weekend.
For a military invasion of a friendly kind will take place on Saturday and Sunday as the Granite City plays host to Armed Forces Day and Airborne Forces Day.
More than 1,000 serving, veteran and cadet force personnel will parade through the city centre to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday.
And the fun continues with family activities at the Armed Forces Village at Queen’s Links, which will include skydiving by the Paragon freefall display team.
The weekend will also give children a chance to dress up in soldiers’ uniforms, try out camouflage face painting and get up close to military vehicles.
