Aberdeen Royal Infirmary’s new multi-storey car park will open tomorrow.
The 1,000-space car park, which will be used exclusively by patients and visitors, was funded by after a £10 million donation from oil tycoon Sir Ian Wood.
NHS Grampian are expecting the car park to be busy and visitors and patients are being asked to continue to park close to the ward or clinic they require, rather than coming directly to the multi-storey car park.
People who require wheelchair access have been asked to use existing drop off points, before parking in the new car park.
The facility will not be open to staff, contractors or members of the public not visiting a patient.
The park will use automatic number plate recognition to monitor vehicles using the car park.
About 13,000 vehicles visit the site each day, including staff, patients and visitors.
