Appeal for information after tractor stolen in North-east

A tractor worth tens of thousands of pounds has been stolen in the North-east.

The John Deere 6125R tractor was taken from the Raemoir/Westhill area between 9pm on Sunday and 7am on Monday.

The vehicle has a registration of SV14 XMZ and is worth between £40,000 and £60,000.

It is believed it would have been loaded onto another vehicle.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Pc Alan Denny said: “The farming community is a tight knit one and I would ask that anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious at the time mentioned or in the previous days contact police.

“It is likely the tractor was loaded onto another vehicle and transported out of the area.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
