A north-east community group is appealing for volunteers to maintain a public toilet.
The High Street toilets in Turriff are due to reopen today but will need to be maintained on a voluntary basis.
Turriff and District Heritage Society has taken over the running of the new toilets, with the support of cleaning firm Let It Shine, whose employee Fiona Smith currently cleans the toilets free of charge.
Judith Mackie from the society said: “The people of Turriff were very vocal on the keyboards when the council were closing the toilets but for the toilets to stay open now we need an army of volunteers to help Fiona.”
