Police are today appealing for witnesses after a break-in at a North-east hotel.
A low four-figure sum of money was stolen from the Station Hotel on Seafield Street in Portsoy.
The incident happened between 2am and 7am on yesterday.
PC Jamie Mackinnon said: “It is likely that the area would have been busy at that time as it was the Boat Festival. We are appealing to anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious to get in touch with us.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
