Officers are appealing for information after four bikes were stolen in Aberdeen.
Police Scotland said a number of properties at Craigendarroch Place, Mastrick, had been targeted by crooks.
The bikes were taken in the early hours of yesterday morning and police are appealing for information.
One bike has so far been recovered, but the investigation into the theft of the remaining bikes continues.
PC Terry Woods said: “I would urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area last night to get in touch as soon as possible quoting reference 0549 of September 7.
“To have so many similar crimes reported in one area is extremely unusual and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.
“I would also urge people to please keep your bike safe and secure at all times and not give thieves a chance.
“Officers have been issuing safety and security advice all summer to reduce the number of bikes being stolen and we would always advise owners to lock and tether their bikes to fixed items whenever they leave them unattended.”
