A silver bag containing prescription drugs has been stolen from an Aberdeen train.

The incident happened on the 5.09pm service between Aberdeen and Edinburgh Waverley yesterday.

The large silver bag containing prescription drugs was taken before the train arrived at Laurencekirk.

British Transport Police is appealing for the drugs to be handed into a police station or pharmacist as soon as possible as they could be dangerous if consumed.

Officers are also asking for anyone who was onboard the train or saw someone acting suspiciously to get in touch by contacting 0800 405040 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
