A record-breaking adventurer is set to visit an Aberdeen university next month to host an illustrated talk.

Olly Hicks will visit Robert Gordon University on Tuesday, March 21 to present the history and preparation of his first historic kayak crossing from Greenland to Scotland, which he completed last year.

The trip, which covered 1,200 miles in six weeks, was set to test the legend that the Inuit may have found their way to Scotland in the 18th Century.

Olly said: “I’m very excited about visiting Aberdeen to finally see the actual inspiration for the trip.”
