A decision to produce a report on the “key achievements” of the city council’s finance committee has been branded “election propaganda”.
The move was backed by members of the committee nine votes to eight.
Finance convener Willie Young said key achievements included projects such as the Music Hall revamp, Marischal Square, the Art Gallery redevelopment and the new academy to the south of the city.
The SNP group’s finance spokesman Councillor Graham Dickson said the move was “just election propaganda”, while SNP group leader Cllr Stephen Flynn said the projects amounted to a “list of shame” due to many being over budget and late.
Cllr Young said: “This committee should congratulate itself for what it’s done.”
Councillors voted nine to eight to approve the creation of the report.
