The Met Office confirmed in a post on social media that Aboyne, at 27.5 degrees, is the hottest place in Scotland..
They also said that today is officially the hottest day of 2017.

Temperatures in Aberdeen hit just over 20 degrees, with a south easterly wind making it a little cooler in the city when compared to the Shire.
Thermometers topped off at 21.8 in Fyvie and 22.9 in Braemar.
