Aberdeenshire Council budget meeting under way

A meeting is currently under way to agree Aberdeenshire Council’s budget for the next year.

Budget proposals have been put forward by the Conservative, Liberal Democrat and Aligned Independent  administration and by the opposition which is made up of SNP, Labour and independent councillors.

The Democratic Independent and Green Group have also tabled their own proposals.

All three budgets propose increasing council tax by 3% in a bid to prevent further cuts to council services.
