Work on Aberdeen’s Rob Roy Bridge to finish after months of travel disruption

The Rob Roy Bridge was due to reopen tonight.

Work on Aberdeen’s Rob Roy Bridge was to finish tonight after nearly six months of construction work.

Around £530,000 has been spent removing and rebuilding a concrete section of the bridge.

Traffic lights were put in place while work was carried out.

Aberdeen City Council regeneration and transport spokesman, Councillor Ross Grant, said: “It’s fantastic the bridge is to be re-opened again after the £530,000 of reconstruction work.

“The works were very extensive and were necessary to ensure the future safety and integrity of this historic bridge.”
