Aberdeen woman launches crowdfunder to replace iPads and computers allegedly stolen from school

Bramble Brae Primary School

A crowdfunder has been launched in a bid to replace more than £1,000 of goods allegedly stolen from an Aberdeen school.

Parent Margaret Duncan launched the fund and hopes it will raise £300 which would go part of the way to helping the school.

Margaret, 34, whose eight-year-old son Rhylan attends Bramble Brae School, said: “I would like to try to raise some of this money to give to the school and help replace some of the equipment they rely on for the children’s education.

“I decided to set it up as I have a child at the school. My oldest son also attended, before moving up to academy.

“I and my sisters also attended there as kids, so the school means a lot to me, and I have nieces and a nephew there at present.”

A teenager has been charged by police in connection with the alleged theft.

In separate incidents the primary school was also broken into and vandalised nine times last year, between June and August. Damage included smashed windows, broken walls and smashed bottles littering the building. The nursery has also been raided twice and vandalised.
