Trains scheduled to arrive in Aberdeen have been cancelled due to a shortage of train crews.
The 5.30am service from Edinburgh was due to arrive in Aberdeen at 08.19am, but instead was terminated at Dundee.
A statement on the ScotRail website said: “It will no longer call at Carnoustie, Arbroath, Montrose, Laurencekirk, Stonehaven, Portlethen and Aberdeen. This is because of a shortage of train crew.”
ScotRail also announced the 7.34pm service from Edinburgh to Aberdeen has also been cancelled because of a “shortage of train crew”.
Commuters hoping to travel between Aberdeen Railway Station and Dyce will also face journey disruptions.
The 8.48am service from Aberdeen to Dyce due at 8.56am will be cancelled and the 9.07am train from Dyce to Aberdeen has also been cancelled – both due to the lack of crew.
ScotRail added: “We have Ticket Acceptance arranged with First Bus between Aberdeen and Dyce between 8.00am and 10.00am.”
