Aberdeen Taxis said the man took a trip from its booking office in the city centre to Banchory, before legging it from the vehicle, leaving the driver £45 out of pocket this morning.

In the post on Facebook the firm said police have been contacted, but the driver is willing to “drop the charges” if he comes forward and pays.
Aberdeen Taxis wrote: “Police have been informed but we was hoping our kind Facebook community would share this to allow his friend’s and family to see.
“If he is kind enough to make contact and pay the driver he has agreed to drop the police charges.
