A takeaway owner has been fined after he failed to keep his premises clean.
Mohammed Kioum, 39, who runs Get Stuffed on Market Street, admitted four charges of failing to comply with hygiene improvement notices.
Notices referred to failing to repair or replace a chest freezer and issues with fridge door seals.
He also admitted that the premises was not being kept clean, personal cleanliness was not being maintained and protective clothing was not being worn. The offences took place on August 2, 2016.
Fiscal depute Lucy Simpson told Aberdeen Sheriff Court an employee was seen to prepare food without washing their hands after having handled money.
She added that Kioum, whose address was given in court papers as Froghall Avenue, Aberdeen, had taken steps to implement a CookSafe system.
Christopher Maitland, Kioum’s solicitor, said his client had purchased new freezers and provided training to staff.
Sheriff Andrew Miller fined Kioum £600.
