A new street food takeaway in Aberdeen is to open today.
The Pig’s Wings has taken over the former Tastie Tattie site on Upperkirkgate and will offer a range of street food, including a lot which is European-inspired.
Getting everything ready for opening this Friday from 11am – It's been a while in the making so we can't wait to welcome…
Their menu includes shredded roast pork, traditional style bratwurst, falafel and wedges.
For anyone still hungry after all that, they’ll also be frying up iconic Latin American churros.
Speaking earlier this year Tommy Houghton, co-owner of The Pig’s Wings, said: “It’s big boots to fill. A lot of Aberdonians are a bit upset that we’re not doing potatoes.
“We’re going to be doing more street food, and we’ll have things like feathered pork and Sauerkraut.
“We just thought that there’s a lot of places for food that are more underrated.
“We’ve got enough here, we’ve got really good meats so we wanted to do something a bit different.”
The Pig’s Wings is a joint venture between Tommy Houghton and Marcos Sasso.
