An Aberdeen singer given just eight to 12 months to live today said the launch of her new talent agency will be her “legacy”.
Cameron Jay, who lives in Torry, is launching her new business venture Wild Child Entertainment Agency with a variety show at Aberdeen Arts Centre this Sunday.
The mum-of-two was diagnosed with liver cancer hepatocellular carcinoma earlier this year but is determined to defy doctors and pursue her dreams.
She said: “This is my legacy and something the girls will have and will be in my will and for the people in Aberdeen to know there’s a place to help them with their goals and visions.
“I’ve thought about setting up the agency for two years.
“Being a singer myself and doing this for 15 years, I have had a fantastic platform in Aberdeen.
“There is a rise in Aberdeen of opportunities but a lot of things are quite separate and there’s not one place you can go.”
Aberdeen mum given just months to live: I’ll prove doctors wrong and beat cancer again
The 29-year-old, who is mum to two-year-old Aria-Skye and Ivy-Rose, who was born in February, said the agency will host events for local talent, help them secure funding for music and dance lessons, offer promotional advice and help people secure studio space in the city.
It is not the first time she has faced the disease as she was diagnosed with the same type of cancer when she was 10 when doctors gave her just one month to live.

Cameron added that organising the event has given her something to focus on through her illness along with caring for her daughters.
She said: “I’m passionate about it and having fun.”
The show, which will run from 2pm to 6pm, will showcase a wide variety of acts including dancers, musicians, choirs, cheerleaders and professional boxing along with a 30-minute set from Cameron.
