A shopping centre has raised more than £14,000 for children’s charities through a series of events during the summer.
The Bon Accord Centre introduced an indoor beach and both Little Bounce and Big Bounce events to delight the people of the north-east during the summer months raising £14,375.
This year’s annual Big Bounce @ Bon Accord took place on the Roof Garden on top of the St Nicholas mall and was filled with bouncy castles galore and food and entertainment, providing families with a fun-filled weekend.
The event is part of the national One Great Day fundraising initiative, where 140 shopping centres raise money for children’s charities across the country.
All cash raised from Bon Accord’s One Great Day is set to be donated to both local charity The ARCHIE Foundation and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Craig Stevenson, centre manager at Bon Accord, thanked his staff.
He said: “What a brilliant summer we have had – full of fun and fundraising for two amazing charities.
“We are so thankful to all those who took part in our calendar of summer activities.
“The generosity of those who took the time to help us create a summer of fun for the thousands of people who have enjoyed the activities is outstanding.”
