An Aberdeen road is to reopen at midnight after work was carried out on a fire-damaged hotel.
Oldmeldrum Road in Bucksburn was closed in June after the blaze at the Britannia Hotel.
Work has been carried out at the former hotel building along with investigations by a specialist demolition firm.
An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said: “The road was closed to ensure public safety and we’re glad to say it can be reopened after a site inspection following work that was carried out.”
The closure to Malcolm Road has been extended to allow for further demolition to the building.
This is to ensure public safety is maintained in the area around the site, while minimising disruption to motorists and local residents.
Around 70 firefighters tackled the June 9.
