PUPILS at an Aberdeen primary school have been overwhelmed by donations they have collected for child refugees.
Kids at Dyce Primary School started collecting bags of clothes and essential items on Tuesday to be shipped to child refugees in Calais.
The project was the pupils’ idea, after they talked about refugees in a rights and respect group at school.
Head teacher Marion Kerr said: “The just realised how lucky they are and how awful it must be for them with nowhere to go.”
The donations have now been taken to the Arts Centre and Theatre in King Street to be shipped to the French port next week.
