The next generation of cyclists have been getting inspired as Aberdeen gears up for a prestigious race.

ToBi, the official mascot of The Tour Series, visited six schools across the city. Youngsters from Gilcomstoun, Culter, Hazlehead, Stoneywood, Middleton Park and Skene Square primaries were given personal invitations to attend The Tour Series when it visits the city on May 25.

The elite cyclists will tackle an hour-long race as they weave around a challenging combination of cobbled streets and tight turns, racing to the finishing line on Union Street.

ToBi also specially selected 11 children to be mascots for the day.

The pupils will be tasked with roles such as going on the podium, doing a line-up prior to the elite race and taking part in the final presentation.
