A pair of Aberdeen men have been chosen to take part in a national poker tournament.
Martin Emslie and Ian Winton, who play regularly in the Northern Bar on George Street, Aberdeen, will compete in the competition in Las Vegas.
The two will be looking to beat 100 other qualifiers to be crowned the best pub poker player in the UK.
Now in its 12th year, the competition, VEGAS100, offers players a prize pot of £25,000, £5,000 of which is a one-year sponsorship deal.
Martin Green, the managing director of Redtooth poker, the hosts of the event, said: “We are delighted to finally secure our 100 players for the trip to Las Vegas.
“All have done remarkably well to reach this stage, progressing through from their local pubs to numerous regional and national tournaments.
“These are the best pub poker players in the UK so they fully deserve this once-in-a-lifetime trip to America.
“This year we are celebrating 12 years of the Redtooth Poker league, we continue to grow from strength to strength and have become the event for poker players to take part in.”
