
AN OFFICE block in Aberdeen city centre was evacuated due to a fire this afternoon.
The incident happened at 1.21pm at Union Plaza on Union Wynd.
Three appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were sent to the scene.
A spokeswoman for the fire brigade said: “We had 13 firefighters there. We used a dry powder extinguisher and two breathing apparatus to put out the fire.”
Workers were forced to flee the building until the fire was extinguished.
Nobody was injured as a result of the blaze.
