Staff from an Aberdeen fast food restaurant joined forces with a community council to help in cleaning up their area.
Crew from the McDonald’s restaurant on Broadfold Road along with Bridge of Don Community Council and Keep Scotland Beautiful embarked on the challenge to give the area surrounding the restaurant in Donside Nature Reserve a tidy up.
The event, organised by members of the community council, was attended to by a further seven volunteers from the restaurant.
The team collected an impressive seven bags of litter throughout the day, as well as coming across abandoned trolleys.
Local area manager Liam Moir said: “I was really proud to see everyone come together and help tidy up the local area.
“It’s a key priority of ours to ensure that the local area remains free of litter and an enjoyable place to live, work and visit.
“We were thrilled to team up once again with our community council partner and we would like to thank everyone for all their help.”
Derek Robertson, chief executive of Keep Scotland Beautiful, said: “We are delighted that Aberdeen McDonald’s staff were involved to clean up the local area this weekend as business have a real part to play.”
