A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a £10,000 drugs seizure in Aberdeen.
Police recovered crack cocaine and heroin valued at approximately £10,000 in the Crombie Road area of Torry.
The discovery was made on Friday following a police operation.
Craig Hoey appeared in the dock in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday in relation to the drugs recovery.
The 39-year-old faced charges of being concerned in the supply of drugs and possession of drugs.
He made no plea at the hearing and was remanded in custody. The case was committed for further examination.
Hoey, whose general address was given as Aberdeen, is expected to appear again in relation to the case within the next week.
Speaking after the drugs seizure, Detective Sergeant Andy Machray said: “We are committed to disrupting the illegal supply of drugs in the north-east.
“This latest seizure means a significant amount of drugs has been removed from circulation where it could cause harm in the community.
“We continue to encourage anyone with concerns or information about the illegal supply of drugs to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
