An Aberdeen man has admitted assaulting his partner and holding a knife to his neck.
Stephen Forbes appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted the assault, which happened on July 30 at an address on Park Road, Aberdeen.
Forbes, 23, pled guilty to assaulting the man by punching him on the head and body, seizing and compressing his neck, brandishing a knife at him and holding it against his neck, all to his injury.
Sheriff Andrew MacMillan deferred sentence on Forbes, whose address was given as Crombie Road, Torry, for the preparation of a social work report and restriction of liberty assessment due to the “gravity” of the offence.
Forbes, who was released on bail, will be sentenced next month.
Defence agent Bob Anderson reserved mitigation for the next calling of the case.
