Aberdeen man, 45, admits attacking victim with knife

Aberdeen Sheriff Court

A man has admitted attacking another man with a knife – leaving him with a scar on his nose.

Daniel James, 45, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted the attack at the city’s Papermill Gardens on May 22 last year.

The court heard there was previous “animosity” between the men, and just prior to the incident there was a “heated discussion” between them, with blows thrown between both.

James, whose address was given as Beachview Court, Aberdeen, was then seen to take a knife from his bag, going on to strike the man – who sustained a 5cm laceration to the bridge of his nose, which left a scar. He will be sentenced next month.
