Two incidents of indecent exposure in Aberdeen are being linked by police.
Both incidents took place two days apart, but officers believe the same car was used.
The first incident happened on Dee Street on Monday May 2 at around 12.20pm. The man exposed himself within a dark-coloured Volkswagen Passat, which is believed to be a 2001 to 2005 model.
He is described as being 40 to 50-years-old, of a medium build, was unshaven, with short hair at the sides and bald on top. He was wearing a white t-shirt, a black v-neck jumper and jeans.
Two days later, on Wednesday, May 4, police were alerted to another indecent exposure at around 3.30pm on Quarry Road.
It also involved a man in a dark-coloured Volkswagen Passat, also a 2001 to 2005 model. He is described as being around 25 to 35-years-old, with a chubby build, tanned skin, unshaven, with short brown hair on the sides and curly on top. He had a black half sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson said: “Although the descriptions for both males differ, we strongly suspect that they are linked. I would urge anyone who recognises either description to contact police as a matter of urgency. Likewise, anyone with information about the car in question should also contact police.
“While the members of the public who reported these males to police were not actively targeted, it goes without saying that incidents of this nature are distressing. We are following several lines of inquiry, however anyone who can provide any further information could be of great assistance.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 to remain anonymous.
