People have flocked to parks in the North-east as the mercury topped the charts.
Fyvie Castle was the hottest place in Scotland yesterday with temperatures soaring to 27.3C (81.68F).
Temperatures in Aberdeen reached 26.5C (79.7F).
The temperature was recorded at Aberdeen International Airport as holidaymakers jetted off to the sunshine abroad.
However, the sunshine might not last until the weekend.
A Met Office spokesman said: “Tomorrow will be wet to start and fairly breezy.
“It will get drier and brighter as the day goes on but there will be some showers lingering in the day.
“On Sunday there will be quite a lot of cloud around but there will be some sun east of Aberdeenshire.”
