An Aberdeen hotel has been recognised with a prestigious accolade.
The Chester Hotel, in Aberdeen’s west end, is the only property in the Granite City to hold a four-star silver rating from the AA.
It had previously held a four-star AA rating and was given the superior silver status by inspectors who recently visited the hotel.
Inspectors were impressed by the way in which staff anticipated guest needs, their attention to detail and the overall quality of the customer experience.
It opened in 2014 following a £5 million refurbishment.
The inspection report praised the hotel’s standards of service and hospitality, and its restaurant also received positive feedback.
The AA’s hotel silver star status is earned by “highly recommended hotels offering a superior level of quality within their star rating, high standards of hotel keeping, in particular, hospitality, service and cleanliness and an AA Rosette award for the quality of their food”.
General manager Stephen Gow said: “This is a major milestone for the Chester Hotel, and recognises the hard work and focus of the entire team over the past 12 months.”
