A group has gifted a book about designing cycle infrastructure to a north-east councillor.
Aberdeen Cycle Forum bought two copies of the manual, Designing for Cycle Traffic, intending to hand them to representatives.
The Cycle Forum hopes the textbooks will help councils improve their cycling provision.
Yesterday Aberdeenshire councillor Martin Ford received one of the books.
He said: “It’s very good of the cycle forum to do that, and I thank them for it.”

He added: “The provisions in Aberdeenshire are a lot better than they used to be, but we still have a long way to go.”
Rachel Martin, campaigns and communities secretary at the forum, presented the annuals and said she hopes they will act as a way to improve active travel.
