A local authority has issued a warning over rogue salesmen claiming to be carrying out work on behalf of the council.
Aberdeen City Council was contacted by a resident in the Rosemount/Midstocket area asking if work was to take place and officers confirmed no agreement was in place.
The salesman had claimed the council was starting a programme of window replacements and asked if they wanted to participate.

A spokeswoman said: “People should be cautious about companies claiming to carry out work on our behalf, as we would normally write to residents in advance to let them know of works which are going to be carried out.
“Anyone with any queries, even if it is to check staff who are legitimately carrying out work on behalf of the city council, should contact 03000 200 292.
“Anyone wanting to report any concerns to Trading Standards should phone 03000 200 292.”
