THE schedule for works to close a section of a major commuter route as part of a £745 million roads project was revealed today.
Transport Scotland has released key dates for the end of phase one works on the A93 North Deeside Road at Milltimber.
The construction is a necessary part of the creation of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route.
Work on the road will be split into four phases lasting until the end of next year, with phase one being utility diversion work.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “Traffic management will be in place on the A93 at Milltimber between Friday, July 31 and Sunday, November 15, as part of works on the AWPR/B-T project.
“This weekend the A93 will be closed east of Milltimber Brae. A small section of road will be closed between Friday, July 31 from 8pm until 6am on Monday, August 3 for utility diversion works.
“A diversion will be in place via the A90 Aberdeen to Stonehaven road, the B9077 South Deeside road and the B979 South Deeside Road. The diversion route will be clearly signposted.”
