Two groups have been spoken to by Aberdeen Coastguard after they were almost cut off by the incoming tide.
The incident happened near the mouth of the River Don shortly before 1.30pm today.
A family and a group of young women were warned about what was happening by the coastguard before making their way to the shore unaided.
An Aberdeen Coastguard spokesperson said: “The Aberdeen team were tasked at 1325 today to two groups potentially cut off by the incoming tide.
“On arrival a family group and a group of young females were found to be indeed becoming cut off by the incoming tide.
“After being warned of their situation they made their own way to shore unaided.”
