AN ABERDEEN charity that provides food to struggling families is appealing for cash to buy a year’s supply.
Somebody Cares has negotiated a deal to buy a large quantity of food from a Scottish manufacturer at a reduced price.
The food will include meat, soups and chicken pies with sell-by dates lasting more than a year.
It will cost the charity, which is based on Hazledene Road, in Aberdeen, £13,000 for the food which is estimated to be valued at around £30,000.
The charity is now seeking donations so it can buy the food.
Anyone who would like to make a donation to buy the food can contact the charity’s chief operating officer, Brian Taylor, on 0777 0888 200.
