North-east care home resident has celebrated his 100th birthday with a high-profile visitor.
Bert Clark, who lives at Coronation Court, Peterculter, was a slaughterman from the age of 13 until around 70 when he retired.
The keen Hibs fan celebrated the big day yesterday with family, friends and other residents. He also received a visit from First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who presented him with a bottle of whisky.
When Bert – who is a dad of two, grandad of three and great-grandad of six – was asked about his secret to a long life, he said: “I just keep happy all the time and keep busy.”
