An Aberdeen care home is celebrating its 10th anniversary by opening the doors to the public for a family fun day this weekend.
The Care UK team at Tor-Na-Dee, on North Deeside Road, has invited residents and visitors to judge a variety of international dishes prepared by the home’s team.
On Saturday, as part of its anniversary celebrations, guests will also have the opportunity to listen to live entertainment, including a Scottish Accordion Group concert and special bagpipes and saxophone performances from the some of the residents’ grandchildren.
Maureen Barrett, home manager at Tor-Na-Dee, said: “We’re really excited to be celebrating our 10th birthday.
“It is really important for us to build strong relationships with the local people, and this event is a great opportunity for them to see what life is like at Tor-Na-Dee.
“The whole team have their aprons at the ready and we cannot wait to welcome our Aberdeen neighbours for what promises to be a fantastic day full of family-friendly fun.”
Those interested can visit the care home between 2 and 4pm.
