An Aberdeen barber is aiming to prove he’s a cut above after being chosen to represent Scotland in a prestigious international awards event.
Kyle Ross, managing director at Aberdeen’s Huntsman, is gearing up for the grand final of the International Barber Awards, being held in Germany on Sunday.
The 27-year-old launched the luxury Huntsman barber salon in the city in November last year after working in some of the city’s top salons.
He will now go head-to-head against 21 other hair experts from across the world in a bid to take home the prestigious title of best barber.
Kyle, who has 10 years of experience, will be showcasing his men’s grooming skills during the competition, demonstrating the quality of his haircuts, shaves and beard trims.
Held during the HAARE trade show, barbers from across the world including Chile, Taiwan, Germany, Belgium, France, Switzerland and the Czech Republic will also be representing their countries in the competition.
Kyle said: “Being chosen to represent Scotland in a competition of this level is a great achievement and I am looking forward to competing against some top talent from around the world.
“At Huntsman we strive to deliver a first-class service, offering clients creative and innovative barbering techniques, and I look forward to demonstrating my skills to the judges.”
The final of the International Barber Awards will be held in Nuremberg on Sunday.
