An A90 slip road is to close this weekend for work on the Aberdeen bypass.
The northbound junction at Findon onto the main carriageway was due to close at 8pm tonight so street lighting can be installed.
The route will be closed until 6am on Monday as part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) work. It is expected the southbound slip road will close again in the coming weeks for the same works, however, no date has been set yet.
Drivers looking to get onto the A90 from Findon will have to travel southbound until they reach the Portlethen junction to turn around and travel north.
A Transport Scotland spokesman said: “These temporary closures of the slip roads at Findon junction have been timed to take place during weekends when traffic is normally quieter.
“We would like to ask road users to drive with more caution than usual and to observe all signage for their own safety.”
